Terry Sweeney

Terry Sweeney started dancing at the age of 17 at his brothers Arthur Murray Dance Studio. He was introduced to his former partner by Sam Sodano at an A.M. training camp. After moving to Ft. Wayne, IN. he taught and trained in all American Styles and became US National Rising Star Rhythm Champion and US National Open Rhythm Finalist. His vast variety of winnings and accomplishments in Rhythm include finalist at Ohio Star Ball Championships, North American Championship, Arthur Murray National champion, and other major US dance competitions.
He met his wife Rozana in 1991 and started dancing and competing with her in International Latin 1993. They were winners and finalists in all major USA competitions and retired in 2002 from competitive dancing. Terry competed in Pro/Am divisions in International Latin, American Rhythm and American Smooth with his students in all major US competition.

In 2008 he and Rozana Sweeney became adjudicators and now are national judges. In 2013 Terry became National Senior teaching artist for dancing classrooms in Pittsburgh.
